عَلَّق is this week’s Lebanese Arabic Word of the Week

3alla2 is a verb that means to hang something on a hook, or in a closet or to comment. Here is how it is conjugated:

بِعَلِّق، عم يِِعَلِّق ، رح يِِعَلِّق ، مْعَلِّق

 

عَلَّقت قُمصان جوزي بالخزانة

I hung my husband’s shirts in the closet.

 

جيت ع المكتب مْأخَّرة بس ما حدا عَلَّق
