قَدَّم is this week’s Lebanese Arabic Word of the Week

2addam is a a verb that means to present, to offer, to apply for. Here is how it is conjugated:

بِقَدِّم، عم يِقَدِّم، رح يِقَدِّم، مْقَدِّم

 

المَطاعِم اللِّبناِنيّة بِتقَدِّم كِلّ أنواع المَأكولات العَربِيّة
L maTaa3im el-libneiniyyeh bit2addim kil anwei3 il-ma2kuuleit il-3arabiyyeh.
The Lebanese restaurants offer all types of Arabic food.
 

بِعيد الحُبّ الشّاب بِقَدِّم هديّة لَحَبيبتُه
Bi3iid l7obb esh-shab bi2addim hdiyyeh la 7abiibto.
On Valentine’s day, the young man gives a present to his sweetheart.
